Ann Simpson led a workshop to prepare members for the Christmas Competition that will take place in November. She demonstrated two of the three designs, that for Beginners (A Cracking Christmas) and Intermediates (A Hippy Christmas). Below are Ann’s two designs together with some members hard at work:
Three members of the Club, Ann Simpson, Daphne Dawson and Peter Mathers were involved in designing a non-judged exhibit at the Harrogate Autumn Show together with four other Clubs in the North East Area. The class title was “It’s a Pantomime” and our exhibit was “Puss in Boots”. Below are Ann, Daphne and Peter with their exhibit which earned them much favourable comment.
Officers changed and awards were handed out at the AGM that took place in September.

Additionally Astrid Henckel was awarded the Challenge Cup for earning the most points over the past two years:
and Barbara Hudson, the incoming Vice Chairman, who also was away on holiday, who was awarded the Best Improver.
